Brendan Murray recently appeared on The X Factor UK in the hopes of winning one of the six chairs in the show’s “six chair challenge.”

Murray took the stage and told the judges that he is there to fulfill a dream and that music is his passion. They wish him luck, and he turns to face the other contestants who have already taken their seats on the stage. Brendan then starts singing “Everybody Hurts,” a song written and recorded by the hit band R.E.M.

Everyone, including the judges, was taken aback by his voice. You can also see the other contestants arguing back and forth about how amazing he sounds. When Brendan hits the song’s high notes, the other contestants’ heads drop, knowing that one of them will not be on stage for long.

Brendan sings with such intensity that you feel every emotion he has as well as the emotions the song’s writer intended you to feel.

Brendan naturally receives a standing ovation from the audience and the judges after finishing the song, and he collapses in a squat on the stage, looking as if he is in tears.

Brendan is told by Simon Cowell that he is in a different category than the other contestants. Another judge approaches Brendan and expresses his desire to speak with him before pressing the button that advances the contestant to the next round of the show. Brendan is overjoyed, and everyone is excited to hear this incredible performer again.
