TRUE – DirecTV Will Drop ABC If The View Isn’t Axed From Its Lineup

Are the rumors true? Will DirecTV drop ABC if the network doesn’t axe “The View?”

Yes, that’s true. It’s been verified by several sources and re-confirmed by another source that may or may not have direct knowledge of the situation that DirecTV has had enough of Whoopi and Joy and doesn’t want to be associated with any network willing to carry them.

“What we don’t get is why they don’t sell that nightmare to Netflix or YouTube Prime,” said DTV exec Joe Barron, “Spectrum and T-Mobile are also looking at dropping ABC.”

Losing ABC means losing some other great shows. General Hospital has been on Television for decades.

For true Americans, it’s a real dilemma.

Do you stand with DTV and go without ABC or do you cave to woke liberals and buy a pride flag?

Ther is obviously no middle ground with these people.

There’s still time. ABC has until its contract renews in 2027 to make the ultimate decision.

“Whoopi and Joy could be dead by then for all we know,” said Barron, “but we like to have our stuff nailed down early.

Just look at Sunday Ticket.”

The View continues to cause controversy in all its doings, and that’s just wrong.

At some point, someone needs to punish them somewhere besides ALLOD.

God Bless America.

Randy Travis Stuns Country Hall of Fame Crowd By Singing 3 Years After Stroke

Three years after a stroke threatened to silence his legendary voice, Randy Travis, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, brought the crowd to tears with a sing-along rendition of “Amazing Grace.”

Travis gave one more performance at the medallion ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was inducted alongside fiddler Charlie Daniels and music producer Fred Foster. Travis is 57 years old.

Several artists paid tribute to the three awardees musically, including Kris Kristofferson, Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, and many others.

Travis’s wife, Mary Davis-Travis, has made public remarks regarding the six months Travis was hospitalized for following a stroke brought on by a viral illness. Travis is a vocalist who has won a Grammy.

“Randy stared death in the face, but death blinked,” Davis-Travis said. “Today, God’s proof of a miracle stands before you.”

Being the first country performer to have a debut album (‘Storms of Life’) certified platinum within its first year of release, Travis was acknowledged for creating a new standard. For neo-traditional musicians like Alan Jackson, Clint Black, and Brooks, he blazed the path in the 1990s.

Jackson, who performed “On the Other Hand,” toured with Travis in the early 1990s; during that period, Jackson was compared to Elvis.

“When he sang, the women were screaming and fainting, and it was crazy,” Jackson said. “I loved it. Someone singing real country music and having that effect and selling all those records, it just made me so happy.”

The fiddler behind “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” Daniels, was praised for his ability to combine Southern rock, bluegrass, gospel, and country into a singular sound.

“A plaque on this wall is not just another award or accolade,” Daniels said. “It’s a page in a history book. An unending history book.”

While Jamey Johnson performed “Long Haired Country Boy,” Trace Adkins and fiddler Andrea Zonn sang “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

Amazing Grace is sung by Randy Travis during George Jones’ funeral

Foster was the head of the influential Monument Records, which helped performers like Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and Kris Kristofferson establish their careers. Kris Kristofferson sang his timeless song “Me and Bobby McGee,” which Foster co-wrote and produced, and Foster also worked on Dolly Parton’s debut album.

Sam Elliott, 78, Admires Grown Daughter’s Beauty in Front of Crowd: She Is Still His ‘World’

Sam Elliott made a rare comment about his wife of 39 years, Katharine Ross, and their daughter Cleo Rose Elliott at the SAG Awards.

“The Big Lebowski” star chose a private life on a ranch after his wife gave birth to their only child at 45.
The photos of Sam’s 38-year-old daughter with her father were revealed.
On February 26, 2023, Sam Elliott, then 78, won a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award which meant a lot for his career after being nominated for a Golden Globe and the Academy Awards. The “1883” actor went to the awards ceremony with his wife of 39 years.

Katharine Ross was by her husband’s side and emotional as they celebrated his big win. They’d arrived together and walked the red carpet as a couple before the ceremony began and Sam won his accolade for Outstanding Performance in a Television Movie or Limited Series for “1883.”

While giving an emotional acceptance speech, Ross’s husband revealed that the award was the “most meaningful acknowledgement” of his then 55-year acting career. He also thanked his fellow nominees, his co-stars, Taylor Sheridan, and to Ross he said:

“Thank you to my wife, my beautiful Katharine. My partner through thick and thin and the mother of our beautiful daughter.

Sam and Ross’s only child and daughter, Cleo Rose Elliott, celebrated her father’s win by taking to her Instagram Story. She uploaded a photo of her parents embracing at the awards while Ross looked up lovingly at her husband and wrote:

“Congratulations, dad!”

“The Big Lebowski” actor became a father late in life as his wife was close to 50 when she welcomed their daughter. He took the role of fatherhood so seriously that he made a big change in his life.
Why Did Sam Become Private after 45-Year-Old Katherine Made Him a Father?
In 2015, Sam revealed that he met his wife while they were both starring on “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.” However, he shared that he didn’t have the guts to talk to her then because she was the leading lady in the movie.

He felt he wasn’t worthy as he was just an extra who appeared in a bar scene. The pair had another chance to meet in 1978 when they featured on “The Legacy” and interacted for the first time and realized they had a “common sensibility.”

In 2017, Ross revealed that Sam spent most of his youth in Sacramento while she grew up in Walnut Creek. It was ironic to the actress that they were less than 80 miles away from each other but only met in London while shooting “The Legacy.”

When asked if she was attracted to her husband because of his mustache, baritone, or rugged cowboy looks, Ross laughed and said it was all that and more! She said they were working together and one thing led to another and by 1984, in their 40s, they were married.

In 1985, Sam almost turned down a role in “Mask” because he and Ross were on their honeymoon in Hawaii when casting began. The star told his agent he couldn’t come but his wife called back and said the actor would be back in time for the filming.

“The Graduate” actress and her husband ended up living a private life together on three acres of land for decades. According to a 1986 article, Sam was devoted to his wife and by that year they had Cleo, then two, when Ross was 45.

Cleo [Rose Elliott] had always thought of herself as a singer and shared how both her parents [Sam Elliott and Katharine Ross] always encouraged her goal of becoming a musician.

He was 40 when he got married and had his first and only child. When Cleo was a baby, Ross was starring on “The Colbys” and her father refused to take on series work because neither he nor his wife wanted their daughter to be raised by someone else.

By 2023, the couple’s daughter was now a grown up who looked a lot like her mother. She and Sam built a tight bond that has carried them through the years and are very supportive of one another.

How Does Sam and His Daughter Look and Live Nowadays?
In 2003, Cleo was 18 and talking about wanting a career as a musician and Sam said he’d support her because how couldn’t he? Ross also felt the same way but Cleo’s father also noted how being an actor gave him insight into what she’d come against and it wasn’t necessarily positive.

In 2008, it was revealed that the stars’ daughter learned to play some guitar and the flute in school as an only child. Cleo had always thought of herself as a singer and shared how both her parents always encouraged her goal of becoming a musician.

By 2017, Sam’s daughter was 32 and had been able to realize her dream of becoming a successful artist. Ross’s husband confessed that he really loved being with his daughter and it didn’t matter what they were doing at the time.

However, he said he particularly enjoyed taking walks with his daughter along the beach close to his Malibu home. The father-daughter pair would go searching for rocks together, with him stating this about being a father:

“I have one daughter, who I love more than anyone in the world. And that’s where my world is.”

Sam also confessed that being a father was something that he cherished and that it was more fulfilling for him than anything else in his life. The actor, whose only been married once in his life, said the role of fatherhood completed him despite his daughter being an adult who was turning 38 in September 2023.

Cleo and her father have both aged well as seen in their most recent photos. One of their images together was taken in 2007 at a premiere of a movie, in 2017 they appeared again together at the premiere of “The Hero,” and in February 2023, the singer shared her latest look on her Instagram account.

Kurt Russell Doubles Down, Defends His Conservative Statement

Hollywood star Kurt Russell is refusing to back down. The veteran actor came under fire over his conservative statement, and that’s when he pointed to the Founding Fathers to defend his views.

Kurt Russell believes celebrities should stay out of politics. In fact, he made that crystal clear during an interview with The New York Times. The Overboard actor, who identifies as a “hardcore libertarian,” admitted his opinion on politics varies greatly from most Hollywood celebrities and entertainers.

However, when questioned by a reporter regarding gun control, Russell bluntly stated: “If you think gun control is going to change the terrorists’ point of view, I think you’re, like, out of your mind.” That statement created a lot of heat from the media. Russell later admitted he felt “ambushed” in that interview and had “begrudgingly made comments” on gun control.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, the Tango & Cash star not only doubled down on his gun control remarks but also explained how he became a libertarian. “When I was a young guy, I was finding myself not quite being able to see the things that were going on and buy into a political culture,” he said. “I didn’t know what to do, so I finally said, ‘Why don’t I go back and see what the Founding Fathers were all about, and see how that stacked up. Well, I found them and I found libertarianism. They were pretty radical guys, and damn smart, and I just believe in that old-time stuff and think they had great ideas.”

Russell mentioned in another interview how this also impacted his views on the Constitutional right to bear arms. “I think there’s a very strong reason the Founding Fathers had for the Second Amendment and that is that no government ever hasn’t had to fight its own people,” he said. “I think that’s an important part of our existence.”

Russell rarely discusses his broader libertarianism publicly. He has a policy of turning down invitations to appear on political talk shows to stay true to his belief that celebrities have no business lecturing Americans. “I don’t want to go on those shows and have someone think: ‘The last thing I want to do is watch Kurt Russell talk about sh*t that I don’t think he knows anything about.”

Russell also decided to clear the air about his core beliefs. “I believe in limited Constitutional government, free market capitalism, reach for the brass ring,” he said. “There’s this place where you can go do that and don’t step on anybody’s toes and still try to reach for the brass ring.”

The Escape from New York star also had some harsh words when it was pointed out that his political views are in the “extreme minority” in Hollywood. “I’ve heard some pretty rough things through the years that were really undeserved,” he said. “But the number one thing was my case was worse, because I couldn’t say, ‘I’m a Republican, sorry.’ I wasn’t a Republican, I was worse: I was a hardcore libertarian.”

“I was brought up as a Republican, but when I realized that at the end of the day there wasn’t much difference between a Democrat and Republican, I became a libertarian,” Russell said. The Backdraft star also believes there is a lot of fakery surrounding politics in Hollywood. “I’m not a Bill Maher libertarian,” Russell declared. “That’s faux-libertarianism. He doesn’t know what it is. I like him, and he’s a nice guy, but seriously, that’s not libertarianism. The other thing I’ve found is that a lot of liberals in Hollywood are faux-liberals, and a lot of Republicans in Hollywood are faux-conservatives.”

The Tombstone star also revealed that his views made him unpopular when socializing with the Hollywood crowd. “As the years have gone by, yes, I clearly at times was—at least in terms of ‘the hang’—politically persona non grata,” he said. “But I always had a good time talking about things with people. The thing people did get to know about me if they engaged me is that I’m fair, I’m pretty energetic, and I’m pretty knowledgeable. I don’t pop off without finding out about stuff—and I like finding out about stuff, and don’t have that much of an agenda about it.”

Kurt Russell and his longtime partner actress Goldie Hawn have been together since 1983. Russell started out as a child actor and is one of the few who successfully transitioned into becoming a major Hollywood talent as an adult.

97-Year-Old Woman and Husband Finally Celebrate Their Wedding 77 Years after Saying ‘I Do’

An elderly couple in Iowa was able to ring in their wedding anniversary in the most memorable way possible. The then-97-year-old bride who had no gown on her wedding day finally donned one 77 years later at her reenacted marriage ceremony. There is nothing more beautiful than witnessing the grand union of two people deeply in love with each other.

This is why the staff at St. Croix Hospice in Iowa was indeed fortunate to have experienced the emotional reunion of Frankie King and her husband.King wed her husband, Royce, on September 16, 1944. At the time, she didn’t have a gown to wear on her big day. However, she finally got to don a gorgeous vintage white gown for her wedding ceremony organized by the hospice staff on September 24, 2021.

77 Years of Togetherness
The reenacted wedding was filled with countless emotional moments, and the entire hospice staff couldn’t help gushing at the lovely couple. Henry Michaelson, a photographer and staff member at the St. Croix Hospice, shared her thoughts on the occasion:

“It was so hard to keep from crying behind the lens as I got to witness the emotion with this beautiful couple, and the love and compassion that their team poured into preparing this event for them.”

Also present at the occasion was the couple’s daughter, Sue Bilodeau, who assisted her mother in getting ready. King’s then-98-year-old husband stood beside a makeshift altar decorated with flowers as he waited for his beloved bride in his Air force uniform.

The reenacted wedding event had come to pass after the hospice staff had asked the elderly couple about their wedding pictures. King’s daughter, Sue Bilodeau, explained how her parents never got to celebrate a grand wedding:

“Mom had mentioned, ‘We got married on a two-day notice while Dad was just on a short leave… before he went overseas in World War II. And we didn’t have time to plan a big wedding…”

King and Royce had been receiving care and support from St. Croix Hospice at their Oelwein home. A few weeks before their wedding, the hospice staff decided to give their backyard an impressive makeover, turning it into a 1940s-style wedding venue.

The couple’s music therapist made the occasion even more worthwhile by playing 1940s hit tunes on his saxophone and guitar. Another staff member at St. Croix Hospice, Kacie Derr, remembered the memorable occasion:

“The light in her eyes — I wish everyone could have seen it. She told me she felt so beautiful.”
Royce and King lovingly gazed into each other’s eyes, hugging and kissing as they posed in front of the archway adorned with flowers. Bilodeau added that when her dad saw her mom, he had the biggest smile in the world, and he didn’t stop smiling.

The Kings, who had two children, four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, relived the most special day in their life surrounded by many well-wishers. Their sweet reunion was also adored by netizens, who were quick to share their loving comments.

One user added: “Breathtaking moments captured in so many ways (sic).” A second user shared: “This is one of the sweetest things I have seen. Thanks to hospice and all involved for making this their special day. Brought tears to my eyes. Lovely!!”

Another one appreciated the hospice staff’s kind gesture: “What a beautiful couple! Thank you to the Hospice team for giving them such a treasured day!” Sadly, Royce passed away on February 2, 2022. Rest in peace.

Today Show Host Has To Issue A Public Apology After Going Off Script On Live TV

Live television reporters have to deal with a lot of things that most regular folks just don’t have to. From looking perfect every day, making sure they do their research and staying composed on camera for hours on end – it’s pretty impressive when they get it right.

But when they get it wrong, we all get to enjoy the blunder because every moment their face is on screen is recorded forever.

On smaller stations, the news anchors are given some freedom to get creative, like Dan Thorn, who you may know as the dancing anchor on WVNS-TV in West Virginia.

But on bigger networks like Fox and MSNBC, anchors are required to remain calm, composed and always on point.

Savannah Guthrie is one of the hosts of NBC’s long-running Today Show and often is a crowd favorite.

She has been the main co-anchor of the show since July 2012, a post she doesn’t intend to give up any time soon.

During a recent episode, Guthrie was caught on tape making a very uncharacteristic mistake.

She said something that we all sometimes let slip, the s-word. You know what I am talking about. But when most of us let a curse word slip, we aren’t being watched by thousands and thousands of people!

Viewers instantly starting reacting to the hilarious situation and commenting about it online.

The person in charge of the broadcast was forced to react too by turning off her mic and cutting to a commercial soon after.

It’s an easy way to cover a gaffe and is often used in live news, just not usually on such a high-profile and established show.

Many commenters felt that this little gaffe made the Australian-American broadcaster more relatable to them, including Jim Shoes who said, “Makes me like her more.”

Others said that the s-word wasn’t the only swear word that Guthrie said on that unlucky day, but the station managed to block out the other one.

“She totally dropped the f-bomb after she said [that], I watched it live,” said another commenter.

Guthrie may have upset her bosses at NBC, but there hasn’t been any action in response to her blunder.

She publically apologized for swearing on Twitter, even making a joke about not knowing that the mic was on. We’ve all made mistakes and the important thing is to own up to them.

“Check, check – is this thing on? Yeah I guess it is. So sorry guys. Thanks for being kind and understanding. And guess it’s good thing I don’t wear a mic all day. #ohdarn,” she tweeted.

This isn’t the first time that a news anchor has sworn on live television, but another case actually ended up with the anchor being fired. A.J. Clemente was fired after his first day on the job at a local news station in Bismarck, North Dakota.

He had a lot less experience on live television that Guthrie though, but perhaps that should make it more understandable for him rather than her.

What do you think about her mistake on live television? How would you react?

Photographer Captures The Perfect Shot Of Stunning Bald Eagle

Nature is constantly posing for that perfect shot, but it is undoubtedly very hard to take a really beautiful and unique photo. Many of us might be lucky to see it, but few are in the right position to capture it.

Yet, there are times where everything falls into its place, and you get a perfect picture of the moment. One such picture was the one taken by Canadian photographer Steve Biro, and as soon as it was posted online, thousands of people agreed that it is simply flawless.

The picture was taken of a bald eagle named Bruce, skimming the surface of a pond at the Canadian Raptor Conservatory.

The conservatory is home to over 200 captive-bred birds and regularly cares for dozens of sick and injured animals until they can be returned to the wild, so numerous photographers flock there to try their luck in capturing the perfect photo.

Biro has been involved in photography for about a decade. He ran into Bruce the Bald Eagle while taking pictures at Ontario’s Canadian Raptor Conservatory.

He decided to take a photo of him while flying over the water, but the bird was not all that happy with where he was set up, so close to the edge of the pond, which seemed to be his territory.

Biro was determined to shoot, even though the eagle was flying inches over his head.

He said it as a magnificent experience, as he felt the breeze from his wings as he flew over him, and people who were there were gasping as he came over his head.

Yet, he caught the moment and the result was spectacular.

He claims that this photograph struck him a bit more special than the others, as the bird is squared up perfectly, while its both wings are touching the water. He loved the symmetry of the photo, and was blown away by the way the eagle was staring right through him, looking mean and powerful.

He shared the photo on his Instagram account with a caption that read, “So lucky to capture a symmetrical reflection of this beautiful Bald Eagle coming straight at me!”

After Biro posted the symmetrical shot on his Instagram and to Facebook photography group, the stunning piece of art is continually shared online, and has even made it to the front page of Reddit.

I decided to repost as my cover with a watermark as this eagle is getting shared more than I imagined!

Chuck Norris Reveals His Mom Prayed For Him When He Nearly Lost His Soul To Hollywood

Chuck Norris’ mom, Wilma Norris Knight, received a loving tribute from her famous son for her birthday.

The martial artist and actor celebrated his mother’s 100th birthday through a write-up he shared with WorldNetDaily.

In his own words, Chuck Norris talked about the difficulties his mom Wilma faced while growing up.

At the age of eight, she lived with a rare disease for two years and was confined to a children’s hospital. During this time, Wilma became a ward of the state and was not with her family who lived in severe poverty.

Upon leaving the hospital after the two-year period, she helped take care of her family during The Great Depression. One way she worked was picking cotton.

Life could have become easier when she met Chuck’s father. They married when she was sixteen, but then he abandoned her. Wilma was again alone, though now with three boys. Life did get easier in some ways, but the future brought more suffering too.

Chuck wrote, “Mom has been an example of perseverance and faith her whole life.”

“She’s also endured the deaths of her two husbands, a stepson, two grandchildren, and my younger brother Wieland in the Vietnam War. She’s had cancer repeatedly and has gone through roughly 30 different surgeries for a host of issues – and yet she’s still here to tell about it.”

The Strong Faith Of Chuck Norris’ Mom

As believers, we know that suffering is a part of the Christian’s journey. Suffering may result from our own sinful doings, but the world itself will send suffering our way too. Jesus informed us of as much (John 16:33).

Prayer is one way we get through the suffering. And Chuck Norris’ mom Wilma has been no stranger to that activity.

“My mother has prayed for me all my life, through thick and thin.”

“When I was born, I almost died from complications. When nearly losing my soul to Hollywood a few decades ago, she was back home praying for my success and salvation. She even prayed for me to find a woman to change my life, and it worked.”

Chuck also wrote, “I equally celebrate my wife, Gena, during this Mother’s Day week. Gena helps me run all my enterprises and is CEO of our new artesian bottled water company, CFORCE. But most of all she is the mother of our twins, the love of my life, and my best friend.”

“I am overwhelmed with gratitude to God for these two incredible women’s influence in my life.”

“I love you, Mom! Happy 100th birthday! And Happy Mother’s Day, Mom and Gena! I thank God for you both every day! And I thank you for helping God to make me all I can and should be.”

How great – to see a man recognize the greatness of the women in his life and express love accordingly. God commanded that we honor our parents, and Chuck Norris is doing just that with his beautiful tribute for his mom.

“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” (Exodus 20:12)
