Kay was the popular girl in high school, but she looked down on me. At 18, she left town, and we never spoke. Years later, my husband got a friend request from her. When he accepted, she immediately started asking about me and sharing old yearbook photos.

She said she’d been searching for me online and found my husband after hearing I was married. I checked her profile and saw she had four kids, was single, and unemployed. She reached out for advice on starting an online store, inspired by my success.

Though hesitant at first, I helped her, and we quickly became friends, realizing how much we had in common. Now, we chat regularly, and I’ve invited her and her kids to visit me in Los Angeles.
