Emily brings her newborn daughter Nora home after thirteen difficult days in the NICU, believing the hardest part is finally over. But when her grandfather Walter sees Nora’s mismatched eyes and learns her father is Caleb, he is terrified. He reveals that Emily’s mother, Sarah, once worked as Caleb’s nanny, and that Emily had lived with his family as a child.
Walter explains that Caleb’s father, William, had tried to force Sarah into a relationship after his wife died.
