He\u2019s not a dog,\u2019\u201d Crews told WRAL.<\/p>\n<p>The woman\u2019s mother snapped a photo of Sincere as evidence before removing him from the situation.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fashleyrowenews%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0xQKinrR75MN48mHhTBbfrDgL3wRpnCe2sDfpScigJutqXFNwJbtuhE7SDGQxNswl&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=500&#038;is_preview=true\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Since Sincere has autism and is non-verbal, Crews was unable to tell how long her son had been in the closet, which had no air-conditioning and showed signs of mold.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had to be in there for a while because he was hot and sweaty,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Although the school\u2019s principal did not refer to the chair as a \u201crestraint chair,\u201d Keith Sutton, Warren County Superintendent, said it was.<\/p>\n<p>In the aftermath, the school suspended the teacher, who was a contractor for the school, and the teacher\u2019s aide, but Crews said no one from the school reached out to apologize.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI gave them a chance to fix the issue, and they did not,\u201d she said. \u201cNobody reached out and apologized; nobody did anything. All they did was suspend the teacher and assistant. That\u2019s not good enough for my child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to WRAL, Sutton said, \u201cThe allegations of misconduct are under review, and we will take appropriate action based on the outcome of that investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is completely unacceptable! There is no reason this should have ever happened.
