(Gray News) \u2013 A single father from Nebraska beat the odds to win $1 million playing Mega Millions.<\/p>\n<p>When Brant Edgington went to a Baker\u2019s supermarket to get a premade salad for his lunch, he didn\u2019t intend to buy a Mega Millions ticket. But he decided to play a few bucks anyway, according to the Nebraska Lottery.<\/p>\n<p>Edgington didn\u2019t check his ticket again until the Saturday following the March 22 drawing. He was having trouble getting the automatic scanner to work, so he asked a clerk to look at the ticket.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey disappeared for a minute,\u201d Edgington told the lottery. \u201cThen, a different lady came up with her, and they just stared at me.
