I feel very fortunate to have grown up without smart phones and social media apps.<\/p>\n<p>I think I felt much more freedom for not having instant access to everyone and everything. Not saying it\u2019s ALL bad. It\u2019s not. I don\u2019t have to keep encyclopedias around anymore. and emojis are fun.<\/p>\n<p>What was it like growing up without the internet in the 60s, 70s, and 80s?<\/p>\n<p>Growing up without the internet in the 60s, 70s, and 80s meant a very different lifestyle compared to today. Communication was primarily through landline telephones, letters, and face-to-face interactions. <\/p>\n<p>Research involved visiting libraries, using encyclopedias, and consulting printed materials. Entertainment came from television, radio, books, magazines, and outdoor activities. <\/p>\n<p>Shopping was done in physical stores, and staying informed relied on newspapers and television news.
