There\u2019s been so much said about Kate Middleton over the past few weeks that it rather feels like we\u2019re all going in circles, with no definitive answers to be found.<\/p>\n

Back in January it was revealed by Kensington Palace that the Princess of Wales was undergoing a \u201cplanned abdominal procedure\u201d that would see her hospitalized for 13 days. Her recovery, it was stated at the time, would require her absence from all official royal engagements until after Easter.<\/p>\n

In hindsight it was perhaps naive of the Palace to think that the public would simply accept Kate\u2019s absence without doggedly probing for more details as to her condition. In any case, the lack of concrete information has paved the way for all manner of conspiracy theories to bubble furiously to the fore, and at this stage there\u2019s a veritable treasure trove of fresh gossip to be found every day.<\/p>\n

Of course, interest in the saga was hardly dampened by the UK Mother\u2019s Day debacle that saw the first official picture of the Princess since Christmas withdrawn by photo agencies for being \u201cmanipulated\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kate later issued an apology, claiming to have conducted a series of edits on the image in question herself. The fact remains, however, that royal fans the world over are still desperate to know how she is faring and what the future looks like with the Princess\u2019s eventual return in mind.<\/p>\n

On that note there\u2019s been an update offered by a royal insider, one seeking to put an end to the speculation that Kate\u2019s lengthy period away from the limelight is all part of a cover up to hide something deeper \u2013 and possibly darker \u2013 than meets the eye.<\/p>\n

According to the Daily Mirror, the royal insider in question has claimed that Kate will return to engagements in the next few weeks, sooner than the initial timeline offered by Kensington Palace.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rumour mill \u2014 particularly on social media \u2014 has gotten out of control, but Kate is recovering well and she will be back by Easter,\u201d the insider is reported to have said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe just needs to be left in peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

If true, the news that Kate\u2019s recovery is going according to plan will be welcomed by those who have registered concern since her January surgery, of which there are many.<\/p>\n

That said, we\u2019d be remiss in our duties if we didn\u2019t remind readers that there are conflicting rumors out there, the most fantastical of which have even claimed that there may be a scenario wherein Kate doesn\u2019t ever return to her royal role at all.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week it was reported by RadarOnline that the Princess of Wales is considering stepping away from her royal duties altogether. They claim that Kate hasn\u2019t made a concrete decision one way or the other yet, though the constant pressure of royal life has exacted a heavy toll on her.<\/p>\n

\u201cKate\u2019s desperate struggle with the constant pressures of life in the royal fishbowl has clearly taken a terrible toll on her physical and mental health,\u201d a senior palace source is reported to have told the National Enquirer.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe spent weeks staying out of the public eye after her operations \u2014 and it\u2019s only strengthened her resolve to quit,\u201d the source continued.<\/p>\n

The same source went on to reveal that William is \u201cbeside himself\u201d over the idea that Kate might want out.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam is beside himself over her decision,\u201d the source said. \u201cHe\u2019s stunned his wife could ever consider such a move.\u201d<\/p>\n
