Despite the fact that her peers have labeled her a \u201cfreak,\u201d a mother\u2019s two adoring children continue to look up to her as a role model.<\/p>\n

The woman\u2019s appearance has no inherent defects. Instead, she\u2019s covered in \u201cprison style\u201d tattoos from head to toe and refuses to stop getting more ink, claiming she\u2019s an addict despite her failure to find work and the verbal abuse she receives whenever she leaves the house.<\/p>\n

Melissa Sloan, 46, is a Welsh woman who has had a love\/hate relationship with tattoo guns for the past 26 years.<\/p>\n

She has been accumulating tattoos since she was twenty years old.<\/p>\n

Sloan has embraced her social pariah status, and she is fully aware that the more successful she becomes, the more difficult her life will become.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like when you have a [cigarette] or a drink, you get addicted. I can\u2019t stop it now, it\u2019s addictive, for me anyway. I just can\u2019t stop it,\u201d said Sloan, adding that since tattoo parlors started denying her, because she\u2019s \u201cbeyond help,\u201d she got her own kit.<\/p>\n

She went on to say, \u201cI carry the [tattoo] gun around with me in the boot, I\u2019ll get one in the car or anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sloan\u2019s partner continues to give her three \u201ctattoos prison style\u201d every week, despite the fact that she is unable to find meaningful job owing to the massive ink covering her body and face.<\/p>\n

She has over 800 tattoos on her body.<\/p>\n

Sloan stated that she once cleaned toilets for a living, but that she now rejects similar labor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t get a job. They won\u2019t have me. I applied for a job cleaning toilets where I live and they won\u2019t have me because of my tattoos\u2026People have said I have never had a job in my life, I have had one once and it didn\u2019t last long.\u201d She continued, \u201cBut, if someone offered me a job tomorrow, I would go and work\u2013I would take that offer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sloan claims that she is treated like an outcast since she is unable to obtain a job and that whenever she leaves her house, she is subjected to verbal attacks and mockery, as well as others pointing and gazing at her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorse, the more I have the more they think I\u2019m a freak. They jump out of the way and I think \u2018What are you doing that for?\u2019 It\u2019s horrible,\u201d she said. \u201cI expected this in life, I can\u2019t fit in with people as I like to be me and I\u2019m always going to be myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sloan also claims she has been prevented from attending school events in which her two young children, ages 8 and 10, maybe participating. Not even that can deter her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe kids say, \u2018Mum they\u2019re looking at you\u2019 and I say \u2018Take no notice of them,\u2019\u201d said the body art enthusiast, adding that her kids pick up on negative attitudes towards her. \u201cThey say my children will run away when they\u2019re older, that\u2019s heartbreaking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sloan\u2019s children already have a liking for body art, and she has likely influenced them and encouraged them to use her as a role model.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey got some on their arms last night, they\u2019ve got school so they will have to take them off,\u201d Sloan said, about allowing the children to have temporary tattoos, with promises for permanent art in the future. \u201cI tell them they\u2019ll have better ones when they are older.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before she started getting tattoos, she was just another regular Jane. She uploaded photos to Instagram showing her face before she got any tattoos.<\/p>\n

If you knew her back then, you wouldn\u2019t be able to recognize her now.<\/p>\n

While tasteful tattoos are perfectly acceptable, some people go too far.<\/p>\n

No one should ever pass judgment, but we can see why companies might be wary of having her represent them.<\/p>\n

We pray this woman\u2019s children learn from her mistakes and are never made to feel like outsiders themselves.<\/p>\n
