In an interview with the right-wing One American News Network, Schneider launches a scathing attack on Beyonc\u00e9, pulling no punches in his criticism.<\/p>\n

Last week, the 63-year-old actor got fired up over Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s fans\u2019 desire to have one of her new songs, \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em,\u201d played on a country music radio station in Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

As Schneider sat down to talk with OANN host Alison Steinberg, the duo discussed the country genre and how it has been changing throughout the years.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe lefties in the entertainment industry just won\u2019t leave any area alone, right? They just have to seize control over every aspect, don\u2019t they?\u201d Steinberg said while talking to Schneider.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 dipping her toes into country music is like \u201ca dog peeing on a tree\u201d to mark her territory, according to Schneider.<\/p>\n

The actor replied, \u201dThey\u2019ve got to make their mark, just like a dog in a dog walk park. You know, every dog has to mark every tree, right? So that\u2019s what\u2019s going on here.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to him, artists like the 32-time Grammy winner should stick to their usual genres and avoid venturing into country music. However, the question remains whether Schneider has heard everything yet \u2013 Beyonc\u00e9 is set to release a new album on March 29, 2024, titled Renaissance: Act II.<\/p>\n

Fans speculate that it could be a complete country album.<\/p>\n

While Schneider didn\u2019t like what he had heard from Beyonc\u00e9, he spoke more broadly about the influx of pop stars venturing into country music.<\/p>\n

For instance, artists like Post Malone and Lana Del Rey are also rumored to be interested in exploring the popular genre. With approximately 76 million Americans enjoying country music weekly, it\u2019s no surprise that big-name artists might want to tap into this vast fan base and broaden their appeal. So, Schneider\u2019s stance reflects a broader concern within the country music community about the influence of pop on the genre.<\/p>\n

Some may find it strange that Schneider is speaking out on this issue, but the fact is, he has considerable experience in the world of country music. Back in the \u201980s, he made his mark in the industry with nine studio albums, a greatest hits package, and eighteen singles.<\/p>\n

Among these releases were hits like \u201cI\u2019ve Been Around Enough to Know,\u201d \u201cCountry Girls,\u201d \u201cWhat\u2019s a Memory Like You,\u201d and \u201cYou\u2019re the Last Thing I Needed Tonight,\u201d all of which reached the top of the Billboard country singles charts. He still performs, and in 2023, Schneider participated in season ten of The Masked Singer as \u201cDonut\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nThe harsh words about Beyonc\u00e9 have not gone unnoticed, unsurprisingly. Fans of the pop star were not entirely pleased with Schneider\u2019s remarks. Many of them labeled him \u2018racist and hateful\u2019 for comparing Beyonc\u00e9 to a urinating dog.<\/p>\n

Some of them took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their opinion.<\/p>\n

\u201dCountry music was created by black folks,\u201d one fan pointed out.<\/p>\n

\u201cCross overs are not new. Paul McCartney released a country song 50 years ago (Country Dreamer and Sally G)\u2026even the Stones had a huge country influence (Dead Flowers Far Away Eyes) so don\u2019t understand this is about Beyonce unless it\u2019s because she\u2019s\u2026.,\u201d another person wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201dImagine gatekeeping a genre of music that black people created, imagine getting mad that a southern artist from Texas decided to go back to her roots. BTW This is not her first country song!!,\u201d one fan added.<\/p>\n
