In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Julianne Moore spoke candidly about embracing her age and the positive changes that come with it.<\/p>\n
The star turned 60 during the pandemic, so she kept her milestone birthday fairly simple at the time.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was just dinner with my family \u2014 it wasn\u2019t a blow-out or anything,\u201d Moore told the U.K. newspaper. \u201dI was thankful that we were able to be together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore shares 23-year-old son Caleb and 19-year-old daughter Liv with her husband, director Bart Freundlich.<\/p>\n
In Hollywood, female stars in particular are often victims of ageism. Even so, Moore explained that she is not afraid of becoming older.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt seems so silly to talk about it as something negative when it is a privilege to continue to age,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201dThere\u2019s so much judgement inherent in the term \u2018aging gracefully.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201dIs there an ungraceful way to age? We don\u2019t have an option of course. No one has an option about aging, so it\u2019s not a positive or a negative thing, it just is,\u201d Moore said.<\/p>\n
She has also shared that her former agent once told her that she was not attractive enough to be cast in roles by directors.<\/p>\n
