Leonard Lawrence\u2019s role that he played in Stanley Kubrick\u2019s Full Metal Jacket was his first major role, and it\u2019s likely the movie that most people remember him from. The article in The Telegraph claims that in order for Vincent to portray the role of the clumsy Marine, he really acquired a record-breaking 70 pounds.<\/p>\n
In 1992, he had an appearance in the film The Player, which was directed by Robert Altman. He took on the role of a jaded and idealistic screenwriter in Hollywood who couldn\u2019t take the fact that creative and original scripts are rapidly becoming extinct in the industry. His character was portrayed by him.<\/p>\n
In the 1995 film Strange Days, he played the role of Burton Steckler, a p.o.l.i.c.e officer who is on the quest for a unique disc that contains video evidence. After that, in 1997, he was able to get part in the film Men in Black, in which he shared the screen alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. This time around, he had the role of the antagonist.<\/p>\n

Three years later, in 1996, Vincent had an appearance in the film The Cell, which was released in the year 2000 and was about serial murderers. You have undoubtedly heard of the television program Law & Order: Criminal Intent, which has been on the air since the year 2001. D\u2019Onofrio played Robert Goren, one of the most outstanding detectives ever seen on television, in 141 episodes of the drama he appeared in. Additionally, he had a supporting part in the television series Sherlock.<\/p>\n
D\u2019Onofrio proceeded to make guest appearances on a wide variety of different television programs over the course of several years, including The Break-Up in 2006, in which he portrayed Vince Vaughn\u2019s business partner. His ability to hide who he really is and transform into a new person for each and every program he appears in, regardless of the genre of the show, is unparalleled.<\/p>\n
More recently, in 2015, he was cast in the role of Vic Hoskins in the movie Jurassic World. In light of all of these instances, it is easy to state that Vincent D\u2019Onofrio is, at the very least, terribly underappreciated, and he should be considerably more well-known than he is.<\/p>\n
