The police officers who serve in our great nation so often get a bad rep. Sometimes, admittedly, the criticism is warranted, but what many people forget is that the majority of these brave men and women risk their very lives each day in a bid to keep the rest of us safe.<\/p>\n
Which is why I simply love stories like this one, wherein an officer proves that they\u2019re great human beings.<\/p>\n
It began when Iesha Roper-Boswell placed a call to report a gas leak in an apartment complex on Valentine\u2019s Day. South Hill Police Cpl. C.B. Fleming was the officer to respond, though once he\u2019d quieted Iesha\u2019s fears, he went ahead and did something that would leave her on the verge of tears \u2026<\/p>\n
Valentine\u2019s Day, 2019. Iesha Roper-Boswell had called in to report a gas leak at an apartment complex and it was Officer C.B. Fleming who answered that call.<\/p>\n
Yet when he had completed his duty, he took the time before heading back out to go above and beyond.<\/p>\n
As Iesha explained to WTVR: \u201cI was telling him that my daughter, my niece, and some of the other children here were afraid of cops.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo when he came and played with them, I captured that moment, not because I thought it would go viral, but it was amazing that my niece didn\u2019t break out into tears.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nOfficer Fleming showed he\u2019s not just a dab hand when it comes to enforcing America\u2019s laws, he\u2019s also fairly decent when it comes to coloring and playing dolls!<\/p>\n
The man himself, a 15-year veteran of the force, told WTVR: \u201cWhen I got into this job, I knew there was something different, other than just writing tickets and being the bad person all the time,\u201d \u201cI figured if I could be that bright spot in someone\u2019s day, then that\u2019s all that mattered.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s awesome. That\u2019s the only word you can really use to describe C.B.,\u201d Iesha added. \u201cIt\u2019s just amazing, the bond he has with the children.\u201d<\/p>\n
