We\u2019re in the middle of summer, and the weather\u2019s getting hotter and hotter\u2014a perfect time for a nice cold drink. Which means it\u2019s that time of year for children across the country to capitalize on that by heading out to the front lawn and setting up a good ol\u2019 fashioned lemonade stand.<\/p>\n

But one young boy had a better idea. He knew what the adults really wanted to drink\u2014and his plan raked in good money until the cops showed up.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, a boy from Brigham City, Utah set out a drink stand that quickly caused a stir.<\/p>\n

This was the sign he had up:<\/p>\n

The kid was apparently selling beer. Which is on one hand pretty smart\u2014who doesn\u2019t enjoy a cold one on a hot afternoon?\u2014and of course rather concerning because he\u2019s under 21, not to mention his stand presumably lacks a liquor license.<\/p>\n

Naturally, concerned neighbors and passerby decided to call the police, trying to shut down the entrepreneurial child\u2019s bootleg beer stand. Officers from the Brigham City Police Department showed up, ready to take action.<\/p>\n

But then, they took a better look at his sign\u2026<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right: he was selling root beer.<\/p>\n

Just look at the kid\u2019s face in that photo, and the little smiley face in the corner of the sign. That\u2019s the look of a kid who just pulled off a masterful trolling.<\/p>\n

The police let the boy go about his business\u2026 and apparently, business is good, when he\u2019s not getting stopped by the law.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis marketing strategy has resulted in several calls to the BCPD, but apparently [it\u2019s] paid off as business has been good,\u201d the Brigham Police wrote in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n

This kid clearly has a career in advertising ahead of him.<\/p>\n
