Jodi says he was diagnosed to be \u201ca lifetime punishment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat day, I did not feel like a mom,\u201d she said. \u201cI just felt confused and gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matt and Jodi were told that the odds of giving birth to twins who both have Down\u2019s syndrome are one in the million.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newzdiscover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/paret.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2965\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newzdiscover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/paret.jpg 600w, https:\/\/newzdiscover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/paret-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><br \/>\n\u00a9 YouTube<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the parents received little help or guidance in terms of how to care for babies with Down\u2019s syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>Certainly, no one explained to the parents that their family of five could be happy and live a life just like everyone else.<\/p>\n<p>At first, Jodi and Matt were very afraid. They didn\u2019t know if their girls would ever walk, talk, or even attend school.<\/p>\n<p>The family went their own way, trying to get as much information as possible for themselves. And while strangers and may have felt sorry for them and their family, Abigail and Isobel got all the love in the world from those who knew them best.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo this day, I\u2019ll never know what he was sorry for.
