Despite announcing that he will discontinue his 21-year talk show in the coming months, daytime television psychologist \u201cDr. Phil\u201d McGraw assures his audience that they haven\u2019t seen the last of him.<\/p>\n

The most well-known offshoot of Oprah Winfrey\u2019s programme, which once ruled daytime TV, was \u201cDr. Phil.\u201d After appearing as a frequent guest on Winfrey\u2019s show, The Texan\u2019s programme launched in September 2002.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from McGraw, \u201cwe have assisted thousands of guests and millions of viewers with our show through everything from addiction and marriage to mental wellness and raising children.\u201d \u201cThis has been an amazing chapter in my life and career, but even though I\u2019m leaving the day job, there is still so much I want to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

There was no specific date provided for Phil\u2019s final episode because the broadcast TV season typically finishes in the spring.<\/p>\n

The 72-year-old McGraw said he wants to concentrate on prime-time programming and has an unnamed project planned for the beginning of next year.<\/p>\n

The sitcom \u201cJudge Judy,\u201d which aired its final original episode in June 2021 but is still well-liked in repeats, pioneered that cost-cutting strategy.<\/p>\n
