Jack pointed a finger at her. \u201cYou need to kick her out before Christmas! I won\u2019t let her ruin my holiday. She\u2019s leaving on Christmas Eve, and that\u2019s final.\u201d<\/p>\n
Laura\u2019s heart sank. She knew there was no arguing with him. With tears in her eyes, she told her mother the painful truth.<\/p>\n
A Christmas Surprise
\nChristmas Eve came, and Melissa left the house. Jack felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.<\/p>\n

Jack felt guilt wash over him. He had been so rude to Melissa, yet here she was, making his dream come true. He stood up and walked over to her.<\/p>\n
