But not everyone is that lucky. In today\u2019s collection, people share their worst experiences with roommates\u2014some are so extreme that they feel like they\u2019re from a Hollywood movie.<\/p>\n<p>The Story: My roommate, who I lived with for 2 years, suddenly disappeared. She was a happy, cheerful girl.<\/p>\n<p>The police searched for her, but even her parents lost hope. Five years later, I was cleaning her room to sell the house. When I moved the dresser, I found a hidden hole in the wall. I put my hand inside and, to my horror, I found a bunch of notes that said,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I ever disappear, you need to urgently look for me at Jake\u2019s cabin in the mountains.\u201d Jake was her boyfriend. He had a bad temper, but she stayed with him because she loved him a lot. I remembered her talking about how controlling and unpredictable he was, but I didn\u2019t think much of it at the time.<\/p>\n<p>We told the police, but it was too late to find Jake. The last anyone knew, he had moved to Europe, and too much time had passed since she went missing.
