A married couple were asleep when the phone rang at 2 in the morning. The wife (a blonde) picked up the phone, listened for a moment, and said,<\/p>\n
\u201cHow should I know? That\u2019s 200 miles from here!\u201d and hung up.<\/p>\n
Curious, the husband said, \u201cWho was that?\u201d<\/p>\n
And his lovely wife replies,<\/p>\n
\u201cSome guy asking for directions to a place I\u2019ve never heard of!\u201d she says with a shrug.<\/p>\n
The husband, still half asleep, raises an eyebrow. \u201cBut… why would you say it\u2019s 200 miles away?\u201d<\/p>\n
The wife looks at him with a grin, \u201cWell, it sounded like a wrong number, and he seemed so lost! Figured he was probably calling from halfway across the country and needed some help.\u201d<\/p>\n
The husband, now fully awake and starting to get suspicious, asks, \u201cWait a minute. You just told him it was 200 miles away? Without even asking where he was calling from?\u201d<\/p>\n
She shrugs again. \u201cWhat was I supposed to do? He sounded desperate, and I was too tired to get into it. Besides, I didn\u2019t want to keep him on the phone.\u201d<\/p>\n
The husband sits up in bed. \u201cWait, what did he actually ask for?\u201d<\/p>\n
The wife pauses, scratching her head. \u201cUh\u2026 directions to a brothel.\u201d<\/p>\n
The husband\u2019s jaw drops. \u201cA brothel? At 2 in the morning?!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYep, and I told him, ‘Good luck, buddy. You\u2019ve got a long way to go!’\u201d<\/p>\n
The husband\u2019s eyes widen. \u201cSo you didn\u2019t even ask him where he was calling from?\u201d<\/p>\n
The wife shrugs once more. \u201cNah. I figured if he was calling at that hour, it was probably his best option! Anyway, I went back to sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n
The husband can\u2019t believe what he\u2019s hearing. \u201cYou just\u2026 let some guy think you knew where a brothel was 200 miles away?!\u201d<\/p>\n
She giggles, \u201cWell, you know, I did sound very confident, didn\u2019t I? Maybe he found it!\u201d<\/p>\n
A beat passes before the husband, still trying to process what just happened, shakes his head and says, \u201cYou\u2019re absolutely wild, you know that?\u201d<\/p>\n
She smirks. \u201cOh, honey, when you\u2019re married to a blonde, you get surprises like this all the time!\u201d<\/p>\n
