Just when Aerosmith fans thought the news couldn\u2019t get any worse for lead singer Steven Tyler, news from his doctor revealed an even more serious injury that originally believed.<\/p>\n

The injury, which requires patience and rest, has forced the rock band to postpone all of their concerts until 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo our fans: Unfortunately, Steven\u2019s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought,\u201d the band said in a statement Friday.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month the frontman suffered vocal cord damage during a New York show. Despite the injury, Tyler, 75, powered through the remainder of the concert.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t until after the show when Aerosmith released a statement announcing the postponement of several shows that fans became aware of Tyler\u2019s injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo all our fans,\u201d the statement began. \u201cI\u2019m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor\u2019s orders not to sing for the next thirty days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday\u2019s show that led to subsequent bleeding.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tyler further clarified the situation by letting fans know he had received \u201cstrict doctor\u2019s orders\u201d not to sing for the next 30 days.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ, an x-ray showed his vocal cords were \u201cmangled.\u201d<\/p>\n

But on Friday the band once again released a statement shedding even more light on Tyler\u2019s injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care,\u201d the band stated. \u201cHe is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tyler added he was \u201cheartbroken\u201d he wasn\u2019t able to rock with the best fans in the world, but promised Aerosmith would be back as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
