\n\u201cI\u2019ve been through a very depressed state because you\u2019re a little kid, and you have a bunch of grown adults staring at you,\u201d she said of her childhood troubles. \u201cI believe it will have a greater psychological and emotional impact on you,\u201d Mahogany stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a child, I never felt pretty,\u201d Mahogany explained. \u201cI felt hideous, like a freak of nature, and sobbed a lot in secret.\u201d She refused every operation that physicians recommended for her and embraced herself as she was.<\/p>\n

Mahogany was employed at Walmart. When she was offered a modeling job in 2017, her life turned for the better. When a photographer noticed her, she agreed to be photographed. \u201cI was like, \u2018I\u2019m getting older now, maybe it\u2019s time I start putting my whole body out there,\u2019 and hopefully by doing that, I can help somebody else,\u201d Mahogany explained.<\/p>\n

Mahogany was featured in a viral YouTube video. That was the beginning of her blossoming career. Her social media presence quickly garnered a large number of fans. \u201cMainly, I\u2019ve gotten a lot of positive responses, and the ones I like the most are that it helps people who also feel low about themselves,\u201d Mahogany explained.<\/p>\n

Mahogany maintains her optimistic attitude and encourages everyone to do the same. She wants people to be proud of their individuality. Mahogany inspires individuals to accept themselves and spreads body positivity. \u201cOn the internet, people have been extremely kind and supportive of me. \u201cIt\u2019s not all trolling and negativity,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I ever make it big, I want to buy my mother a house and take care of my family, and then I\u2019ll do everything I can to raise lymphedema awareness to repay everyone who has ever shown me kindness,\u201d Mahogany explained.<\/p>\n

Mahogany has grown stronger as a result of her struggles. She utilizes her illness to motivate others. \u201cI used to feel really bad about myself, but as I got older and received a lot of support from the online lymphedema community and my mom, who is my inspiration, I realized how beautiful I am.\u201d \u201cNot only in appearance but also as a person,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
